When you think of animals in sports, you think of horse racing, dog show competitions or falconry. Dog sledding is not that popular like these other sports. And that is what we are here for and that is what we are all about, to tell the world about the EXCITING WORLD OF DOG SLEDDING.

Rebecca and her Dogs

Rebecca Mallory is a dog lover and she grew up with them at her home in 1759 Alaska Hwy, Cassiar, BC V0C 1E0. From such a young age, Rebecca learned how to take good care of these beautiful creatures and she treated them with nothing but love and respect.

Rebecca witnessed dog sledding at a young age, and she rode many times at a young age as well. Rebecca then found out about dog sledding and its impact.

Growing up in Canada, Rebecca’s hometown was covered with snow for most of the months every year. From that, you can connect the line on what the reason is why Rebecca built World Dog Sledding Championships.

It started out as a service provider encouraging people to participate in their local dog sled tourneys in the city of Cassiar in the British Columbia state.

Years after, that local business turned to a big community tackling the massive world of dog sledding and its promotion. Rebecca wanted to encourage more people to participate and build better relationships between humans and dogs.

World Dog Sledding Championships also aims to put an end to illegal animal sports like dogfighting, bullfighting, cockfighting and more. Animals deserve better than this and their participation in the world of sports should be managed and practiced with respect and care.

What do we offer?

World Dog Sledding Championships hosts the best dog sledding competitions and championships not only in Cassiar but throughout Canada and the world as well.

We work with various organizations related to animal sports and animal care to further our cause of a harmonious relationship between man and beast.

We are at the ready to provide the latest news about dog sledding from upcoming tournaments all the way to the top dog racers out there. We envision World Dog Sledding Championships as a collaborative community where both people and animals’ benefit.

That is why we are open to working with people out there and together, we will make dog sledding the biggest animal sport in history.
